How to look up Stock symbols?

To look up a stock's symbol use the following steps

Step 1

Select Charts from the menu

Step 2

Once you have selected Charts from the menu, you then have the option to choose Lookup

Type in the company name of the symbol you want to look up

If the system is unable to find the stock you are looking for, expand your search by using just the first few letters of the company name, so in the above example we would run a search based on 'APP'.

Timetotrade supports multiple exchanges, in the above example the symbols ended .L (ACP.L and APYD.L) indicate that they are listed on the UK market.

Step 4

Now that you have found the stock symbol you are looking for you can click on the symbol, which will bring you to the charts for that stock.

Can't Find the Symbol you are looking for?

Currently the timetotrade lookup function does not return results for London Stock Exchange companies with two letter EPICs. This bug will be addressed in an upcoming release. If you can not find the ticker symbol for the stock you are looking, please click on this link to the Yahoo Finance lookup function
