The River: Create New Thread

To start a new thread simply click on the "create new thread" button.



This will open up a thread creation box, as shown in the following screen shot:



To create your new thread you will need to:
1) Give your thread a title of your choosing
2) Type your main body text
3) Select if the thread is to be either:

• Public - in which case the thread will be seen by ALL timetotrade users (select "public post"), or
• Private - in which case the thread will be visible to ALL your fellow club members if you are in an investment club account, or by you ONLY if you are in a private account (select "private/club post").
  

4) Click the "submit" button to add your post to your River



Below is a screen shot of how the above thread looks on the timetotrade website immediately after clicking the "submit" button. In this instance we made the thread private by selecting "private/club post" - so the thread is visible to Bertie and his fellow club members only. The words "Private" in front of the poster's name "Bertie" indicate that the thread is private:



Here is the same thread where "public post" was selected instead:


The word "Private" no longer appears in front of the poster's name, and so you know that the thread is visible to all timetotrade users.

To quickly view all Public Threads click on the PUBLIC FORUM link on the navigation bar.

To quickly view all of your (or your club's) Private Threads, click on the PRIVATE FORUM link on the navigation bar.
