We have called the sources of financial information feeding into The River "Tributaries"
The following Tributaries currently feed into The River:
News Sources:
BBC, Citywire, Daily Express, Economist, Evening Standard, FT, Growth Company Investor, Hemscott, Independent, Irish Times, LSE, Mirror, Money Week, Money Wise, Proactive Investor, Reuters, Reuters, Reuters, Reuters Business, Reuters Consumer Products and Retail, Reuters Personal Finance, Reuters UK Stocks and Shares, Telegraph, Teletext, The Daily Record, The Daily Star, The Herald, Times Business, Times Markets, What Investment
Public Threads:
Comments or posts created by timetotrade's users for public viewing can be seen by all timetotrade users and feed into The River. Public threads are identified as "timetotrade public" in the tributaries section.
Private Threads:
Private Posts and Trading Journal entries feed into Your River, and are not visible to other timetotrade users - unless you are part of an investment club, in which case your fellow investment club members will see the thread. They are identified as "timetotrade private"
To view all articles from one particular news source, just click on the name of that news provider from those listed in the Tributaries section. For example, click "Economist" - the results will just show news issued by the Economist.
You can choose which news feeds you wish to receive.
To customise The River to suit your own preferences, click the "edit tributaries" button as shown:
This opens up the following list:
By default, all feeds are selected. De-select the feeds you do not wish to see in your River by unchecking the tick box.
"timetotrade Private"
This is your own personal / club tributary.
If you are a member of an Investment Club, the "timetotrade Private" feed is your club's private forum. Any private posts you make will be seen by your fellow investment club members.
If you are a private investor, then any private posts or trading journal entries you make will be seen by you alone. They will not be available to any other timetotrade users.
"timetotrade Public"
This is the public forum tributary. Select this if you wish to see public posts and comments from other timetotrade users.
When you have finished selecting your News Feeds, click the "save" button. This will store your preferences for each time you log-in to timetotrade in the future.
If you do not wish to make any changes, click the "cancel" button and this will return you to the main screen.
